Okay I know I'm super late but... I was trying to arrange the song for clarinet choir and I was struggling to count it for a second there. It's in 7/8 (Counted like 1-te 2-te 3-te-te) which is genuinely really rare in any music that isn't meant for concert band because, well, it's a hard time signature to follow unless you are locked in. A lot of modern pop or hip-hop songs tend to be in simpler time signatures like 4/4, 3/4 or compound ones like 6/8 or 12/8. Anyways Music Nerd's rambling aside, I love the song. It's truly a perfect song for the kiss that we had been waiting years for.

RWBY Their songs get better with age, just like old wine.

I feel like this sounds wrong but I counted the lyrics and did he just sing around 37 words per second from 1:55 to 2:15?

Ironwood did nothing wrong

While I'm no fan of RWBY in the later years, I will always be fond of how this theme was basically a lovechild of BlazBlue and Guilty Gear music. Hell if they made a spin off of BB or GG and had a female led cast and used this as the theme it wouldn't even sound alien at all.

*sigh* i know people immediately hated volume 4. But i didn't hear anything that bad until after its end. This is when rwby criticism was just really going up (as the show was going down) for me, listening to this song reminds me of when before things went wrong

This song is buitiful the way the instrumental and lyrics are off-beat from one another is such good symbolism for the way he feels out of place and out of touch with the world.

Volume 3 was amazing

Uh, this song really fits Yang/Jaune a lot more than these pair. Oh well, we already knew the writers didn't know what they were doing.

It hurts to know that the show may in fact be done forever, but this is as a good homage song for it as possible. For all my gripes about recent RT, gonna miss the titan and trailblazer of industry.

If v8 was good team rwby would’ve tried to save Mantel realizing it was doomed They reach the same conclusion they did in the season using the SDC ships to save the civilians saving a sizable amount of people before **GRIM** not ironwood destroy them Team RWBY comes to realize Ironwood was right as the reality of the situation dawns on them…if they aren’t willing to make the hard choice then EVERYONE will die… They rush back to Atlas…but it’s too late the fall is imminent They open the portals across Atlas and Mantel to evacuate the cities There’s a touching scene between ironwood and the gang as they apologize owning up to the death and destruction they caused. Recognizing their mistakes Ironwood smiles softly and says they did what they thought was right…no one can fault them Grimm, Salem, or Cinder arrives ironwood will hold them off. Like Atlas holding the weight he of the world upon his shoulders. He gives the gang the relics and tells them to make it count badass last stand where he slowly gets torn apart piece by piece. Showing how much of a machine he has become. But his heart is still there. Even as he’s lost an eye an arm has cuts everywhere his attention falls on a single child cowering inside a car. He carves his way to them and reaches out with his hand. Ironwood’s damage is so severe he’s practically moving like the tin man. As the next wave arrives he begins speeding up as he turns to the kid and tells him to run he’ll hold them back. His last act despite incredible physical pain and suffering is saving a child before ultimately falling as the music reaches a tragic conclusion

I didn't realize it until now but the guitar rifts reminds me so much of music from Dream Theater.

POV: the party's tank rolled a Nat 20 in a combat encounter

This is the most RWBY song ever in my opinion. It has boastful lyrics chock full of references to children's stories and rhymes to a hard rock instrumental. Unfortunately, it's stuck as Cordo's theme and only the first stanza is relevant to her.

Fun fact: The lyrics that say Murder Unkindness Conspiracy. are all terms that refer to groups of corvids. like Ravens and Crows
